Grades

Proprietary Face/Back grades are:  A-2, B-2, C-2, C-3, C-4, D-2, E-E and F-F.

Characteristics

Creamy uniform white color with occasional small brown pin knots, tight grain, closed pores, hard and durable, finely-textured, smoothly sanded, satin-like sheen. White Birch has exceptional machining properties and is suitable for natural, colored, and painted finishes.

5.2mm (1/4”), 9mm (3/8”), 12mm (1/2”), 15mm (5/8”), 18mm (3/4”) and 25mm (1”).

Most panels are 4×8 but we also offer 48.5×96.5, various oversized panels including 4×9, 4×10, 5×8, 5×9 and 5×10 and Cut- to-size panels. All panels tightly calibrated to ensure exceptional thickness tolerances.

Glue Types

We offer TSCA Compliant glues.  Melamine & WBP Phenolic Type I Exterior glues.

Cores

We offer our White Birch plywood panels in a wide variety of cores. Specialty cores include sturdy combination cores, ultra-lightweight veneer cores, MDF cross band veneer core and finger-jointed lumber cores.

What we offer

Our Prefinished Plywood provides an attractive, ready to use, White Birch finished plywood.

Our UV cured, clear coated White Birch panels feature a consistent mill finish and creamy uniform white color that saves time and money. Our UV plywood product is consistently part of our inventory in our main ports.

Common Finishes

Our Ultraviolet cured finish provides a clean and highly durable clear coat. As a standard, our UV prefinished plywood panels are produced with a 40 sheen levels for satin appearance. Higher sheen levels are available by request. We offer UV finishing as a topcoat on one or both sides of the panels.

Thickness, Size and Finish

We commonly stock 5.2mm (1/4”) UV finished plywood 1 side, 12mm (1/2”) UV finished 1 or 2 sides, 15mm (5/8”) UV finished 1 or 2 sides  and 18mm (3/4”) UV finished 1 or 2 sides.   Stocking panels come in 4×8, but we also offer a 48.5×96.5 panel on a futures basis.

Glue Types

We offer our prefinished plywood UV top-coated in TSCA Certified glues.

Cores

Siam Birchwood Industries produces UV finished White Birch panels in a wide variety of cores from our standard multiply veneer core to high end lamination grade veneer cores. All panels tightly calibrated to ensure exceptional thickness tolerances.

Cabinets, Case goods, End Panels, Store Fixtures, Furniture, Shelving, Entertainment Centers.

Other Species

We mainly stock White Birch in our distribution centers. We also offer UV prefinished plywood in Natural Birch, Red Oak, White Maple, Cherry and Walnut on a futures basis in a variety of thicknesses and grades.

Our Natural Birch plywood is produced from carefully selected whole piece rotary cut Birch veneers typically harvested in the Europe.

Our Birch plywood, from natural species, offers exceptional clean faces with very few knots or blemishes.
